Call for Applications to Undertake Academic Exchange Programmes in Spain
Background
The University of Energy and Natural Resources (UENR), Sunyani is a partner on
Erasmus+ International Credit Mobility (called Erasmus+ KA171 project),
hosted by the University of Jaen (UJA) in Spain. The Erasmus+ KA171 programme
supports mobility (for both students and staff between UJA and UENR (and other
universities).
The University of Jaen (UJA) is a public university located in Jaen, Spain that was
founded in 1993, with approximately 17,000 local and international students studying
undergraduate and graduate programmes in different fields in both English and

The Call
Applications to admit the first cohort of students to undertake the mobility from
January to July 2023 at the University of Jaen is now open. This call is open to
undergraduate, master’s and PhD students studying at UENR.
Interested applicants should review the requirements below, and if interested, they
may apply by submitting all the requested documents.
Requirements
The following documents constitute the application pack, and must be included.

  1. Undergraduate Students:
    a. Must be in Level 300 or Level 400
    b. Submit Application Letter expressing interest
    c. Updated academic transcript
    d. Updated Curriculum Vitae (CV)
    e. Letter from your Head of Department supporting your application
  2. Master’s Students:
    a. Bachelor’s degree with First or Second Class (Upper Division)
    b. Must have completed all taught courses, preferably in the second year
    c. Submit Application Letter expressing interest
    d. A copy of updated transcript
    e. Research synopsis, including research plan
    f. Updated Curriculum Vitae (CV)
    g. Letter from your Head of Department or School of Graduate Studies
    supporting your application.
  3. PhD Students:
    a. Bachelor’s degree with First or Second Class (Upper Division)
    b. Master’s Degree in a field related to the PhD research
    c. Must have completed all taught courses, preferably in the second or third
    year
    d. Motivation statement
    e. Approved research proposal
    f. Progress report on PhD studies, using the School of Graduate Studies
    template and signed by research supervisor
    g. Updated Curriculum Vitae (CV)
    h. Letter from your Head of Department or School of Graduate Studies
    supporting your application
    Interview: All shortlisted applicants will attend a selection interview. There are only
    5 slots available for this window.
    Funding: Successful applicants will be provided with financial support to cover the
    cost of a return air ticket and living expenses in Spain.

    on your level of studies, sealed in an A4 sized envelope to:

    Deadline for application is the close of work on Tuesday, 15th November 2022. Any
    application received after this date will not be considered.
