The University of Cape Coast (UCC) has expressed Gratitude to Members of University Teachers Association of Ghana (UTAG)

The Management of the University of Cape Coast, UCC, has expressed gratitude to members of UCC branch of the University Teachers Association of Ghana (UTAG)  for their untiring services and sacrifices to promote academic work in the University.

Management added that it was not oblivious of the numerous challenges members of UTAG-UCC go through to render services to the University, stressing that it would do everything it could to improve conditions for members to continuously give off their best.

“We appreciate the sacrifices that UTAG make and contribute today. We appreciate the uncomfortable condition under which UTAG delivers its services. Management thank you and we’re counting on you to help us even as we journey through 2018,” the Pro-Vice-Chancellor, Prof. George K. T. Oduro, said this at the annual get-together of the UTAG-UCC.

The annual party afforded members of the association the opportunity to fraternize, while dancing to a live band performance from the Suapon Band.

The Pro-Vice-Chancellor encouraged members of the association to work hard throughout the year.

The President of UTAG-UCC, Dr. Eric Opoku Mensah, lauded members for their cooperation and contribution to the development of the association.

He assured them that the leadership of the association would remain resolute to fight for their welfare.

He also used the occasion to congratulate retired members of the association for their selfless contributions to the advancement of the UTAG-UCC during their active services.

He said the current crop of executives would tap the rich experiences and expertise of retirees to guide the association.

Some retired members of the association were honoured with citations for their hard work, loyalty, dedication and commitment to the forward march of UTAG-UCC.
