Takoradi Technical University (TTU) Admits First Batch of Masters Students – 2017/2018 Session

Twenty-nine students have gained admission to pursue various Master of Technology (M-Tech) degree programmes at Takoradi Technical University. These admissions are unprecedented in the history of the university.

This first batch of masters students’ admission constitutes a part of 3,714 students offered admission to pursue various Non-Tertiary, Higher National Diploma (HND) and Bachelor of Technology (BTech) programmes in the university.

This academic year’s number of admitted students is higher as compared to that of the 206/2017 academic year which stood at 3,425. This is a trend that the university hopes to maintain in the coming years, according to the Vice Chancellor.

In his address, the Vice Chancellor, Prof. John Frank Eshun, said the admission of Master of Technology students is an indication of the university’s preparedness to offer students a smooth progression to the graduate level of higher education by strengthening its existing faculties, namely: Applied Sciences, Engineering, Applied Arts and Technology, Business and Management Studies, as well as Built and Natural Environment.

He, additionally, stressed that the University is working conscientiously and relentlessly to produce highly-skilled human resources for the socio-economic development on the country.
