Registrar needed for Employment, April 2018 – Takoradi Technical University

Applications are invited from suitably qualified persons for the position of REGISTRAR.

Qualification and Experience
Candidate must possess a minimum of Master’s Degree in Administration, Higher education, Public Administration or any relevant qualification (PhD Degree will be an advantage).

Candidate must be a dynamic individual with the requisite leadership, vision and management abilities to serve as part of a management team dedicated to providing high quality staff, student and constituent services in a complex and demanding academic, administrative, social and fiscal environment. In addition, the applicant must have:

i. At least ten (10) years of post-qualification experience in a reputable tertiary institution or analogous organisation, not below the rank of a Deputy Registrar or its equivalent.

ii. Proven evidence of strong administrative and professional leadership initiative in policy formulation and good human relations.

iii. Significant leadership experience at a senior level in a complex organisation such as a university.

iv. Ability to develop, articulate and implement strategic goals.

v. A record of successfully leading and managing change in a public service organisation.

vi. An understanding of the social, political, legal and economic environment within which Ghanaian Technical Universities operate.

vii. A sound appreciation of emerging global trends in higher education.

viii. Commitment to high level of personal and professional integrity.

1. Duties
The Registrar is the Secretary to Council and the Academic Board. He/she is responsible to the Vice Chancellor for the administration of the Technical University and providing secretarial services for Boards and Committees prescribed by the University statutes.

2. Conditions of Service
The terms and conditions of office are in the statutes of the University.

3. Mode of Application
Interested candidates should submit the following:
i. Copies of their curriculum vitae showing their personal history, qualifications, working experience and publications; and
