Jackson Educational Complex Admission Requirements
With unbeatable packages fashioned to give prospective students easy access into the Diploma in Basic Education programme, the minimum entry requirements for the 2016/2017 academic year are categorised as follows:
A. REGULAR APPLICANTS
i. West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) Holders
Passes (A1 – D7) in three (3) core subjects, including Core English Language and Core Mathematics, plus Credit Passes (A1 – C6) in three (3) elective subjects.
ii. Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination (SSSCE) Holders
Passes (A – D) in three (3) core subjects, including Core English Language and Core Mathematics, plus Credit Passes (A – C) in three (3) elective subjects.
B. TEACHERS’ CERTIFICATE ‘A’ HOLDERS
A pass in all subjects taken in the final examinations of the Colleges of Education.
C. MATURE APPLICANTS
Persons who will be at least twenty-five (25) years of age in the 2016/2017 academic year, can also apply and will only be admitted after a pass in an Entrance Examination conducted by the Affiliate University. Proof of age with a birth certificate is required.
DETAILS OF THE ENTRANCE EXAMINATION ARE AS FOLLOWS:
Subjects: English and Mathematics (based on the SHS syllabus)
Date: Thursday, 5th January, 2016.
Time: 9:00am – 12:00pm
Exam Fee: Eighty Ghana Cedis (GHS 80.00) – to be paid on the exam day.

Candidates are required to bring along the following items. Failure to present any of them will disqualify one from writing the exam.
1. Stationery: Blue pen, HB pencil, eraser, calculator, ruler and math set.
