Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA) 2019 Certificate In International Relations And Diplomacy Admission
The Department of Public Management and International Relations of the GIMPA School of Public Service and Governance, invites prospective applicants for admission into its Certificate in International Relations and Diplomacy programme.
The rationale for the programme is based on the crucial need for highly skilled and trained experts to consolidate and improve the international relations and foreign policy in Africa, understanding of the multi-dimensional complexities of foreign policy, in order to successfully manage the challenges and utilize the opportunities provided.
This course will help you acquire an interdisciplinary understanding of the roles of sovereign nations, relationships among countries, and international organizations.Through this certificate programme, you will deepen your knowledge of today’s global complexities and interconnectedness to help advance a career in government, an NGO, an international organization, a multinational corporation, trade union, or media.
By the end of the course, participants would have
• Ability to appreciate and understand pertinent issues and the key tenets in international relations and diplomacy
• Been equipped with basic skills, capacity and deep knowledge to participate and contribute to foreign policy analysis, international political economy, diplomacy and international relations
• Acquired a thorough knowledge on institutional structures of global governance; governmental actors in inter-state relations, and the changing dynamics of global economic relations
TARGET GROUP
The course is open to participants from Africa and around the world. Participants working with the following groups are encouraged to apply: Regional Economic Communities (AMU, AU, COMESA, EAC, ECCAS, ECOWAS, IGAD, SADC, etc.), Diplomatic Corps, Public /Civil Service, Judiciary, Parliament, Trade Unions, Private Sector Groups, Media, Civil Society /Non-Governmental Organisations, Security (Police, Military, Fire Services, Immigration, CEPS, etc.) and Intelligence Agencies, Development Agencies, Academic Institutions, and individuals with an interest in International Relations and Diplomacy.
An application form may be obtained from the Cashier’s Office at GIMPA or downloaded from the GIMPA Website – www.gimpa.edu.gh. Application fee is GH¢100.00. Deadline for the submission of all completed application forms is December 4, 2017. Course cost: GH₡2500.00
