Driver and Vehicle Licensing Authority (DVLA) – Issuing a New Driving License (NDL)
LEARNER DRIVER’S LICENSE
A Learner Driver’s Licence has to be acquired for a period of three (3) months before the actual licence could be applied for.
REQUIREMENTS
- Physical presence of applicant at any DVLA office
- Minimum 18 years of age
- Basic education (BECE) or Adult Education, Ability to read and write
- Pictures
PROCEDURE
- Purchase and completion of Forms F and F1
- Physical examination and eye test
- Payment and issuance of Learner Driver’s Permit, L-Plate, Syllabus and Highway Code
- Compulsory 48-hour training with a DVLA accredited driving school
- Capture of biometric information and scheduling for written test
- Written exams (Computer-Based Test)
- Oral examination
- In- Traffic Test
- Payment of Driver’s Licence and P-Plate fees
- Capture for Driver’s Licence
- Issuance of Temporary Driver’s Licence and P-Plate
- Issuance of Driver’s Licence
