Master M.Phil Agricultural Extension At UCC

Agricultural extension is the application of scientific research and new knowledge to agricultural practices through farmer education.

Agricultural extension is another name for agricultural advisory services.

Entry Requirements: 

To be admitted to the programme, a candidate must have obtained a good first degree at least Second Class Lower Division  or better from a recognised institution or  Cumulative Grade Point (CGPA) of 2.5 on a 1 – 4  scale or its equivalence in agriculture or related field.

A considerable working experience preferably in Agriculture will be an advantage but not a prerequisite.

The overall goal of the programme is to produce postgraduates with a good grounding in the theory and practice of Agricultural Extension and who are able to respond to the current and emerging challenges in extension.
