Public Personnel Administration At University Of Ghana
This course explores the way public sector organisations procure, allocate and develop labour, and
how the employee-employer relationship is established and maintained. Topics to be discussed
include the nature and scope of human resource management; an evaluation of theory and practice of
public sector human resource management; human resource management in the Ghanaian public
sector, human resource planning in the public sector; recruitment and selection into the public
service; compensation in the public sector; downsizing in the public sector; and collective bargaining
in the public sector.
