Bank Management At University Of Ghana
The course aims at exposing the student to the use of the principles of business finance in banking.
With this in mind, students are expected to be thoroughly familiar with the material covered in
Introduction to Business Finance and Business Finance. Banking theory is introduced with respect
to bank assets, liability and liquidity management. Efforts will be made to draw heavily on
practical examples around us. Topics will include: the Banking System, Bank operations,
Asset/Liability Management, Bank Risks, Loan Portfolio and Credit Risk Management, Bank
Costs, Bank Failures, Bank Valuation and Performance, Bank Strategic Planning and Bank
Regulation
