The Regional Institute for Population Studies (RIPS) at the University of Ghana (UG) is accepting applications for the award of the 2022/2023 German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) Scholarships to pursue Master of Arts (MA) and Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degrees in Population Studies.

The DAAD scholarship will cover tuition, stipends, and accommodation for one-year Master of Arts (MA) and four-year Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) students.
DAAD scholarships can only be awarded to applicants who:
have successfully completed generally a three/four-year university degree for those applying to MA (duration of MA is one year) with above-average results of SecondClass Upper Division or equivalent.
have successfully completed generally one- or two years MA/MSc./MPH/MFA/MPhil, etc. university degree (for doctoral candidates) with above-average results of Second Class Upper Division or equivalent (for First degree).
clearly show motivation and strong commitment.
have a thorough knowledge of the English language.
have generally completed their last university degree not more than 6 years ago at the time of application.
are nationals or permanent residents of a Sub-Saharan African country Women and people working in population-related sectors are encouraged to apply.
