OFFER OF SCHOLARSHIPS BY THE GOVERNMENT OF BRUNEI DARUSSALAM

The Embassy of Brunei Darussalam is informing member states of UNESCO of its offer of scholarships for the 2016/2017 academic year to foreign students who wish to apply for PHDs’, Masters’ and Bachelors of Science/Arts programmes and other degrees at one of the Institutions of Higher Education in Brunei Darussalam.

The institutions are;

  1. University of Brunei Darussalam (UBD)
  2. University Islam Sultan Sharif Ali (UNISSA)
  3. Institute of Technology Brunei (ITB)

Eligibility

Each applicant must

  • Be between the ages of 18 – 25 for undergraduate programmes and not exceeding the age of 35 for postgraduate programmes by 31St July, 2016
  • Be in good health, both physically and mentally.

Fields of Study

UNDERGRADUATE

  1. Bachelor of Arts
  2. Bachelor of Science
  3. Bachelor of Business
  4. Bachelor of Engineering

POSTGRADUATE

  1. Arts and Social Sciences
  2. Business and Economics
  3. Health Sciences (Biomedical Sciences, Clinical Sciences, Nursing, Public Health)
  4. Sciences (Biology, Biodiversity, Chemistry, Mathematics, Physics)

Application Procedure

Interested applicants are requested to

  1. Visit www.mofat.gov.bn/scholarship to access the application forms, and further information on the offer. The forms can also be accessed at the Scholarships Secretariat.
  2. Download and complete three (3) copies of the application forms and submit it to the Scholarships Secretariat for endorsement.
  3. Completed forms should be submitted with the underlisted documents;
  • Three recent paasport size photographs
  • Three certified copies of academic qualification
  • Three copies of certified birth certificate and passport
  • Three copies of security vetting
