Developing Solutions Chanrai Summit Scholarship for Ghanaian

Developing Solutions Chanrai Summit Scholarship is made available for Ghanaian or Nigerian students. Applicants must be applying to start a full-time masters degree programme, including MRes, at University of Nottingham for September 2016 in an area of study within the Faculty of Medicine & Health Sciences.

The aim of the Masters Scholarship is to enable and encourage academically able students from any nationality.

The University of Nottingham is a public research university based in Nottingham, Nottinghamshire, England, United Kingdom. It was founded as University College Nottingham in 1881 and was granted a Royal Charter in 1948.

International students whose first language is not English are required to have an appropriate grade/score in an approved examination in English language (such as IELTS) Academic) before they can register on an academic programme.

Course Level: Scholarship is available for full-time masters degree programme, including MRes, at Nottingham

Study Subject: Scholarship is provided within the Faculty of Medicine & Health Sciences.

List of subjects: Applied Psychology; Biomedical Sciences; Medicine, Molecular Medical Sciences, Nursing, Midwifery and Physiotherapy, Veterinary Medicine and Science

Scholarship Award: The masters scholarship cover the full cost of tuition only including £10,600 subsistence award, available for a student from Ghana or Nigeria.

Eligibility: You will be considered for this scholarship if you:
-are a national of (or permanently domiciled in) Ghana or Nigeria and
-are classed as an overseas student for fee purposes and
-have not already studied outside of your home country and
-are not currently studying at a University of Nottingham campus or are not a University of Nottingham graduate and
-already hold an offer to start a full-time masters degree programme, including MRes, at Nottingham for September 2016 in an area of study within the Faculty of Medicine & Health Sciences AND
-have applied for our Developing Solutions Scholarship.  Our Developing Solutions Chanrai Summit Scholarship does not have a separate application form and students should apply using our Developing Solutions scholarship application form. You will automatically considered for the Chanrai Summit Scholarship if you are eligible.
-Priority is given to candidates who have not previously studied outside of their home country. Students currently studying in the UK are not eligible to apply.

 Nationality: Scholarship will be given only to residents of Ghana or Nigeria.

College Admission Requirement: For MPhil or other research masters programmes (eg MRes, MA/MSc (by research)) student would normally be expected to hold an honours degree at 2:2 level or above (or international equivalent) in an appropriate subject.
Student will generally be required to submit a research proposal (link to writing a research proposal) with your application.

English Language Requirement:
IELTS:
-6.0 with no less than 5.5 in each element
– 6.5 with no less than 6.0 in each element
-7.0 with no less than 6.0 in each element

TOEFL (iBT)
-79 (minimum 17 in Writing and Listening
– 18 in Reading and 20 in Speaking), 87 (minimum 20 in Speaking and 19 in all other elements)
-100 (minimum 19 with 20 in Speaking)
