Wisconsin International University College Offers Full Scholarship To Brilliant Student

Victoria Appiasah a former student of Bright Senior High School in Asesewa, Eastern Region has been given a full scholarship to study BSc Economics at Wisconsin International University College Ghana (WIUC-GH).

Speaking at a meeting to officially communicate the scholarship package Chief Operating Officer of WIUC-GH Mr.Jacob Fynn said that management having taken notice of a publication in the Daily Graphic of Miss. Appiasah plight decided to offer her a full scholarship, including accommodation in the Universities hostel and stipend for upkeep. Mr. Fynn added that as management of the university it was an honor to have such a student, hence will consider helping other students will be who may not be that privileged.

Vice-Chancellor Professor Obeng Mireku also in his remarks advised Miss. Appiasah not to disappoint management by studying hard because her performance and conduct on campus will either encourage management to offer more of such scholarships to young people with circumstances similar to hers. Professor Mireku on the other hand said “this does not mean that you should just ignore your social life because that is essential in keeping a balance, try to make friends and join any of the various clubs on campus”.

Mr.Severious Kale-Dery representative of the Graphic Communications Group express his appreciation to management of Wisconsin International University College Ghana (WIUC-GH) for this overwhelming scholarship package and added that acts like this go a long way to give a voice to the voiceless.

Miss Victoria Appiasah who lost her parents at an early age expressed her appreciation to management of Wisconsin International University College Ghana (WIUC-GH) and said that her dreams of becoming an economist in future surely will come to realization with such a kind package.
