It is announced for the information of all Graduands in the UPSA Law School and School of Graduate Studies of the University of Professional Studies, Accra, and the general public that the 1st Session of the 13th Congregation and Special Congregation Ceremony of the University to confer an honorary doctorate degree, as well as award degree certificates to persons who completed their programmes of study in the academic year, will be held as follows:

Date: 24th July.

Time: 8.00 a.m.

Venue: UPSA Main Auditorium

What will the combined event involve?

i. There will be conferment of an honorary doctorate degree

ii. The following Schools will be presenting their graduating students:

▪ School of Graduate Studies

▪ UPSA Law School

Registration for the Congregation:

Students who successfully completed their programmes of study in July 2021 in the aforementioned schools and wish to be presented at the congregation are requested to follow the procedure below to register for the ceremony:

  1. Pay the graduation fee at any branch of Access Bank Ltd and log on to https://www.interpayafrica.com/upsa/student to disburse the payment.
  2. Follow the link upsa.edu.gh/graduation on your USIS student’s portal to complete the process of the registration on-line.

Graduation Fee:

All Graduands are required to pay a non-refundable fee of GH¢350.00 to cover cost of congregation brochure, printing of certificate, hiring of academic gown and administrative charges.

Closing Date for Registration:

22nd July. No late registration will be entertained after this date.

Available on all University’s notice boards and website (www.upsa.edu.gh)

Collection and Return of the Academic Gown:

Use your proof of registration and the interpay disbursement print-out to collect the gown from Room 403, Third Floor, Students’ Centre starting from 20th July.

The deadline for the collection of the gown is 5.00 p.m. on 23rd July. Graduands are required to return the academic gowns latest by 5.00 p.m. on 27th July. Failure to do so will attract a penalty of GH¢50.00 per day.

Rehearsal:

Compulsory rehearsal will be held for those to be presented at the UPSA Main Auditorium on 23rd July at 2.00 p.m.

Attire:

Those to be presented will be expected to be seated at the Auditorium by 8.00 a.m. on 24th July in the appropriate academic gown preferably worn over suit/jacket with UPSA neck tie or UPSA scarf in the case of ladies.

Note: Graduands are to note that those who fail to attend the ceremony will equally be required to pay the same amount before they can collect their certificates.

PS: In order to adhere to Covid-19 prevention protocols, ONLY graduands will be allowed entry onto campus on the day of the congregation. As a reminder, graduands MUST wear face masks in order to be admitted into the auditorium as well as at all times while on campus.
