University for Development Studies Admission

Application Vouchers for admission to undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in the University for Development Studies (UDS) will be available at at any Ghana Commercial Bank (GCB), Prudential Bank, Zenith Bank, Agricultural Development Bank (ADB) , Stanbic Bank and Ecobank branches throughout the country, from Monday, January 14, 2019.

Application vouchers for admission to Diploma and Undergraduate programmes in the University for Development Studies (UDS) will be available at any Ghana Commercial Bank (GCB), Prudential Bank, Zenith Bank, Agricultural Development Bank (ADB) , Stanbic Bank and Ecobank branches throughout the country, from Monday, January 14, 2019 for holders of the following qualifications;

  • West African Senior Secondary School Certificate (WASSCE)
  • HND/Diploma Certificates, State Registered Nurses (SRN)

WASSCE applicants who are awaiting their results are eligible to apply but would have to go back to their online User Accounts to update their results upon the release of the 2018 WASSCE results before they would be considered for admission.The following programmes are currently offered by the University.

      1. Credit in the THREE WASSCE core subjects: English Language, Mathematics and Integrated Science plus credits in THREE WASSCE electives: Biology, Chemistry and Physics/Mathematics
      2. Holders of Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) Diploma and HND in Science Laboratory Technology that have at least 6 WASSCE/SSSCE credit passes) above may enter the Programme in Year Two after passing an assessment examination and interview

All Ghanaian applicants for the 2019/2020 Academic Year admissions are required to use the UDS Online Admissions Portal. The procedure for the online application process is as follows:

  1. Make a payment of GH¢ 180.00 (one hundred and eighty Ghana Cedis) for the UDS E-Voucher at any Ghana Commercial Bank (GCB), Prudential Bank, Zenith Bank, Agricultural Development Bank (ADB) , Stanbic Bank and Ecobank branches throughout the country.
  2. The E-Voucher contains the PIN and Serial Number required in completing the online form.
  3. Access the online form by visiting our online admissions portal here soon after payment.

Alternatively:

  1. Visit UDS online Admissions Portal here with a MasterCard or Visa to make an online payment of GH¢180.00 (one hundred and eighty Ghana Cedis)
  2. Print the advice slip for future reference.
  3. In completing the online form, students will be required to upload their most recent passport size photographs with white background and relevant certificates
  4. A completed form is not considered until it is submitted.
  5. Applicants are advised to check thoroughly all details entered before finally submitting their online applications. A form, once submitted, can only be viewed, but cannot be edited.
  6. Candidates are strongly advised to visit any Ghana Post EMS Office in the Country for assistance towards the return of the application documents (see VIII). Applicants are advised not to post the forms themselves. They should seek the advice and services of Ghana Post EMS.
  7. Applicants must print out application summary; attach results slips, certificates and all other relevant documents. These documents should be submitted in triplicates (three copies each) to the Senior Assistant Registrar (Academic Affairs Section).

Closing Date

Closing date for submission of apllications is May 31, 2019 (April 30, 2019 for BSc Nurse Anaesthesia).Candidates should note that no applications will be accepted after the closing date.
