Background

University of Health and Allied Sciences Faculty Development Grant Scheme has been instituted in response to the University’s drive for faculty development, and to ensure that all UHAS faculty hold a PhD or other terminal degree. Grants may be awarded to existing faculty to undertake their research work and complete their PhD studies so long as they show evidence that their studies cannot be completed without the funds being requested for the research, and they do not already have funding for data collection.

The PhD/terminal degree programmes are tenable at any reputable university relevant to the student’s research area, and the grant is awarded normally to support the student’s research for a maximum of four semesters for the PhD/other terminal degree programmes.

The maximum grant available is GHC20,000 (Twenty-thousand cedis)
