University of Health and Allied Sciences (UHAS) in 2017 Holds Sixth Matriculation Ceremony

The sixth matriculation ceremony of the University of Health and Allied Sciences (UHAS) came off at the main campus located at Sokode- Lokoe, Ho.

In all, a total of 821 Undergraduate and 25 Post graduate students were enrolled unto programmes for the 2017/2018 Academic Year. For undergraduate admissions, the School of Nursing and Midwifery enrolled 219 students, School of Public Health, 179, School of Allied Health Sciences, 207, School of Basic and Biomedical Sciences, 41, School of Medicine, 135 and the School of Pharmacy, 40.

Also, the first batch of Postgraduate students were enrolled into the School of Public Health. Though a total of 112 applications were received, twenty-seven (27) students were admitted, but only twenty-five (25) honored their admission.

The Vice-Chancellor, Professor John Owusu Gyapong, in his address advised students to abide by all University regulations governing students’ conduct especially on issues regarding examinations in the University. He further assured the new students that, the University has competent and experienced staff and other Professionals who will give them the quality training required for the Health sector.

On behalf of the University Council and the Members of Convocation, the Vice-Chancellor congratulated the freshmen and women and wished them a fruitful and memorable stay in UHAS.

Present at the ceremony were members of the University Community as well as parents and guardians of the students.
