The University of Education, Winneba on Sunday, 3rd December, 2017 inducted its newly appointed Registrar, Surveyor Paul Osei-Barima (Esq) into office at a thanksgiving ceremony held at the Jophus Anamuah-Mensah Conference Centre.

In a sermon delivered by the Vice-Principal of the Methodist University College Very Rev. Prof. Joseph Y. M. Edusa Eyison- said, two important characteristics that a leader needs to serve the present age is to first deal with any form of destruction that will hinder the progress of his work and be devoted in all aspects of work.

Touching on some qualities of a good leader, he explained that a leader should not see his followers as saints because they were not. In order to deal with some individuals, a leader needs to study their behaviours and how they respond to certain issues. Also, there was the need for the existence of team work, humility and love between a leader and his followers.

In his address, the newly appointed Registrar, Surveyor Paul Osei-Barima (Esq), humbly acknowledged the presence of every individual who graced the ceremony, assuring them of his full devotion to the position. He added that he will ensure that his tenure of office as Registrar of UEW will be a fruitful and successful one. He urged all staff of the university to be patriotic, committed and dedicated to the development of the University so that together the institution can achieve its mission and vision.
