The University community is hereby informed that the Ghana Tertiary Education Commission (GTEC) has noticed anomalies in the evaluation report of the academic staff of universities, especially staff who were affected by the Staff Audit.

The Commission reiterates that the minimum entry requirement for academic staff of a university is a research master’s certificate. Except in the case where the staff has an MPhil or Ph.D. certificate, which must be evaluated by the Credentials and Evaluation Department of GTEC as authentic, all credential evaluations must request for the research valuation.

The Commission shall appropriately place and process salaries of affected academic staff, upon submission of an evaluation report from GTEC that specifies the research value of the relevant certificate.
