Management of the University of Education (UEW) has agreed to construct a Lecture Block at Asante-Mampong

Management of the University of Education, Winneba (UEW) on, 27th April, signed an agreement with Messrs. Berock Ventures Limited for the construction of an ultra-modern one-storey lecture block at the Asante-Mampong campus of the University. 

The 1,000 capacity, one-storey lecture block would be fitted with ancillary facilities including washrooms, server rooms, WI-FI access and public address systems for teaching and learning. The lecture block, which is expected to be completed in a year from the date of commencement, is being funded with Internally Generated Funds (IGF).

At a brief ceremony to sign the agreement, the Vice-Chancellor, Rev. Fr. Prof. Anthony Afful-Broni commended Messrs. Berock Ventures Limited for their dedication and commitment to previous projects. “The contractor has exhibited a high sense of competence; he has demonstrated a deep respect for time and it is our prayer that this will continue.”

The Executive Chairman, Messrs. Berock Ventures Limited, Mr. Rockson Dogbegah stressed that his outfit was committed to improving the quality of life of Ghanaians through the use of appropriate and sustainable infrastructural development solutions delivered in a timely and quality manner. He assured Management of the successful delivery of the project at Asante-Mampong. He stressed his outfit’s readiness to possess the site and to kick start the work immediately.

He also lauded Management for the excellent relationship and timely payment during works at the University’s North Campus, describing UEW as one of its best clients that has respect for the terms of the contract.

Among construction works the company has undertaken for the UEW include the ultra-modern students’ Centre and a lecture block both at the North Campus in Winneba.

Paul Osei-Barima, Esq.; Director, Physical Works and Development, Mrs. Grace Peprah; Coordinator of Works, Procurement Office, Mr. Albert Yamoah; and Head of Commercial Unit, Messrs. Berock Ventures Limited, Mr. Thomas Kutin.
