UEW Admission into MPhil in Biology Education & MPhil in Biology Programmes

  1. MPHIL IN BIOLOGY EDUCATION

Entry Requirements

Applicants possessing the following qualifications may be admitted to the Master of Philosophy (Biology Education) programme:

  1. A good first degree (at least 2nd Class Lower) in Biology Education from any recognised university
  2. A good first degree (at least 2nd Class Lower) in Biology (with an education component) from a recognised university.
  3. A good first degree (at least 2nd Class Lower) in Biology or related area such as Botany, Zoology or Environmental Science from a recognised university with a postgraduate diploma in education or its equivalent.

Note: All applicants will undergo a selection interview.

  2. A good first degree (at least 2nd Class Lower) in Biology from a recognised university (with or without an education component) from a recognised university.
  3. A good first degree (at least 2nd Class Lower) in Biology or related area such as Botany, Zoology or Environmental Science from a recognised university with or without a postgraduate diploma in education or its equivalent.

Note: All applicants will undergo a selection interview.

  • DURATION

The programmes will run on a full-time basis for a minimum duration of two academic years and a maximum duration of three academic years. There is a taught course component in the first year while the second year is devoted to full-time research.

2. Visit the University’s website at www.uew.edu.gh. Click on Admissions, and select Apply Online >>>. Log in with your Voucher Serial Number and PIN, fill an appropriate application form and submit online.
