Applications are invited from suitably qualified persons with background in the underlisted areas of specialization in Education and orientation to qualitative research to the following positions in the Institute of Education, College of Education Studies:

ADVERTISEMENT

  1. Senior Research Fellows
  2. Research Fellow
  3. Lecturer

Areas of Specialization

  1. Curriculum and Teaching with focus on English Language
  2. Educational Psychology
  3. Educational Counselling
  4. Sociology of Education

A. Senior Research Fellow

Qualifications: Candidates must:

  1. possess a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in any of the areas of specialization listed above.
  2. have at least four (4) years research experience as a Research Fellow in a University or an analogous institution of higher learning.
  3. have a minimum of eight (8) publications in refereed journals
  4. be capable of developing winnable research proposals

B. Research Fellow

Qualifications: Candidates must:

  1. possess a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in any of the areas of specialization listed above
  2. have at least two (2) years post-qualification research experience in a University or an analogous institution of higher learning.
  3. have at least three (3) refereed publications.
  4. be capable of developing winnable research proposals

C. Lecturer

ADVERTISEMENT

Qualifications: Candidates must:

  1. possess a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in English Language Education
  2. have at least two (2) years post-qualification teaching and research experience in a University or an analogous institution of higher learning.
  3. have at least two (2) refereed publications.

Job Description (Responsibilities)

Successful candidates shall be responsible for:

  1. engaging in research in areas of specialization
  2. teaching of courses at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels;
  3. supervising graduate research students’ works and;
  4. offering academic counseling to students.
