The University of Cape Coast invites applications from experienced, results-oriented and highly motivated individuals for the position of Director, Directorate of Research, Innovation and Consultancy (DRIC) which will become vacant on 1st August.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

The Director shall be the Head of DAPQA responsible to the Vice-Chancellor for the following:

a)         coordinating academic planning including monitoring of academic programmes;

b)        spearheading the quality assurance system of the University;

c)         safeguarding high-quality standards in teaching, research, library services, administration and related matters;

d)        developing and implementing quality assurance policies.

QUALIFICATION(S) & EXPERIENCE

Applicants must:

a)                  be internationally acclaimed scholars of professorial status;

b)                  hold PhD in a relevant discipline;

c)                   have considerable teaching, research and administrative experience in a university or analogous institution;

d)                  be well grounded in the principles of quality assurance and quality improvement;

a)      demonstrate the ability to liaise with all Colleges/ Schools/ Directorates/Departments and Sections of the University to ensure quality teaching, learning and improvement in facilities across the University.

TERMS OF THE APPOINTMENT

The appointment is full-time and is for a term of three years renewable for a second consecutive term of three years only subject to application and interview.

Applicants should be able to serve a full three-year term before attaining the compulsory retiring age of 60 years.

A successful candidate, who is not a Faculty Member of the University of Cape Coast prior to the appointment, may opt to be a Faculty Member after serving the term(s) if that is before his/her sixtieth (60th) birthday.
