The BANGA Phase 2 project has three components; the first focuses on early career faculty and will support over 50 faculty for post-doctoral activities, as well as research results dissemination. The second component focuses on enhancing UG faculty strength and capability to deliver high quality graduate training. This component is expected to provide direct financial support to over 40 PhD students, as well as the development of new PhD programmes. The third component focuses on consolidating UG’s flagship programme, the Pan African Doctoral Academy (PADA), whose goal is to improve scholarship and quality of PhD products from West African universities. BANGA-2 will support over 600 students to participate in the PADA doctoral schools.

The two year project will start on October 1, 2019. A project inception workshop will be announced shortly to provide the opportunity for faculty and PhD students to learn the full range of benefits on offer under BANGA-2.
