The M-Tech in Graphic Design shall be for two (2) years.

Applicants with the following certificates are eligible to apply:

  • Applicants with Bachelor of Technology (B-TECH) in Printing, Graphic Design or related Visual/Creative Art certificates, must possess a minimum of Second Class (Lower Division) from an accredited tertiary institution.

–        Holders of any other Commercial Art option (Sculpture, Ceramics and Painting) with HND 2nd Class Upper Division or better must pass a selection interview. Those with HND 2nd Class Lower Division must pass written examination and selection interview.

(ii)    ADVANCE PAINTING AND DECORATION CERTIFICATE APPLICANTS

  • Applicants with Advanced P&D with Four (4) SSSCE/WASSCE certificate with passes in English Language and Mathematics can apply for any of the HND programmes under FAAT.
  • INTERMEDIATE CERTIFICATE IN PAINTING AND DECORATION (P&D)

Intermediate P&D Certificate holders with passes in English Language and Mathematics and any three (3) Arts electives with aggregate not exceeding 28 can also apply for any of the HND programmes.

  • NABPTEX CERTIFICATE II

NABPTEX Certificate II applicants with passes in English Language and Mathematics can apply for any of the HND programmes under FAAT

(v)    GCE ‘A’ LEVEL APPLICANTS

Applicants must have five (5) G.C.E. ‘O’ Level passes in English Language, Mathematics and any subject plus three (3) ‘A’ Level passes are eligible to apply.

  • A pass in English and Mathematics plus Intermediate Technician Part 1 in (Block Work, Woodwork, Metal Fabrication, Leatherwork).
  • A mature applicant not below 25 years must provide documentary evidence of work experience and pass entrance examination.

4.   Diploma in Art and Design

  • Four (4) SSSCE/WASSCE passes comprising three (3) core subjects including English and Mathematics plus any Two (2) of these Elective subjects ( Ceramics, Graphic Design, Bead making, Basketry, Leatherworks, Clothing and Textiles, Sculpture, Picture making, Jewelry,  Woodwork, Metalwork and General Knowledge in Art)
  • Five (5) GCE ‘O’ Level including English and Mathematics.

SIX MONTHS BRIDGING COURSE FOR TECHNICIAN III GRADUATES WEEKENDS ONLY 

  • Applicants with Technician III certificate in all the TVET programmes run in the Faculty of Engineering (Electrical Engineering Technician (EET III), Motor Vehicle Technician (MVT III) Mechanical Engineering Technician (MET III) and Welding Advanced are eligible to apply for the bridge course. Successful candidate after completing the 6 months course will be automatically enrolled in the Bachelor of Technology (B-Tech) degree programme in August 2018.

Candidate with two (2) Strong Passes, a minimum grade C in Mathematics and Physics at GCE ‘A’ level may be considered in lieu of the three.

–        Construction Technician Certificate (CTC2/3): Applicants must have in addition to CTC 2/3, GCE ‘O’ level passes in English and Additional Mathematics or SSSCE/WASSCE passes in English Language and Elective Mathematics or General Course in Construction (GCC) Four (4) credit passes.

–        Advanced Craft Certificate in Blockwork & Concreting

Candidates with equivalent qualifications/certificates can seek clarification from the Admissions Office. Working experience will be an added advantage.
  • CTC Part II (old Scheme holders) and CTC Part III holders will go through a bridging programme for one semester before being enrolled in the B-Tech.

 

SIX MONTHS BRIDGING COURSE FOR TECHNICIAN II & III GRADUATES WEEKENDS ONLY 

  • Applicants with CTC Part II (old Scheme holders) and CTC Part III holders are eligible to apply for the bridge course. Successful candidate after completing the 6 months course will be automatically enrolled in the Bachelor of Technology (B-Tech) degree programme in August 2018.

The above-named programme has been designed to provide opportunity to students with Technical/Vocational and science educational background to pursue a one-year Access Course in English Language, Mathematics and Science.
