CEO of Kinapharma Interacts with UHAS Students

Mr. Kofi Nsiah-Poku, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Kinapharma Group of Companies was hosted by the School of Pharmacy (SOP) of the University of Health and Allied Sciences, Ho (UHAS). Pharm. Kofi Nsiah-Poku, who is an exceptional pharmacist entrepreneur among his competitors due to his principle of putting his consumers first in his production processes, visited to interact with the students and faculty of the School.

Welcoming the entourage, Professor Clement Adeleke Adebajo, Acting Dean of the School of Pharmacy, expressed his appreciation to Pharm. Nsiah-Poku for honouring the invitation of the School. He called on the students as well as lecturers to take advantage of the opportunity and tap from the vast wisdom and knowledge of the celebrated pharmacist and entrepreneur.

The Acting Dean appealed to the renowned Pharmacist to assist the School to enhance the quality of students it produces. He further requested for internship slots for students to help develop their practical skills.

Mr. Kofi Nsiah-Poku, who was elated, shared his post university education experience. He advised the students to adopt very positive approach to opportunities that may come their way after their studies. He admonished that imbedded in such initial opportunities are groundbreaking potentials that would lead them to their preferred destinations. According to him, certificates are stepping stones in the bid to get to the top and be elements of change.

The CEO of Kinapharma said he decided to choose the path not usually taken by people and that led him into his passion. He recounted the first five (5) years upon deciding to take his destiny into his own hands to produce drugs in Kumasi, Ghana despite the numerous discouragements from colleagues and loved ones.

He promised to absorb the SOP students into his industries for internship purposes and also pledged to use his pharmaceutical industry to support the School in enhancing practical training and research.
